Board of Directors Carole TurcotteLibraries and books have held a fascination for Carole since early childhood. Even so, she never thought her career would swing that way. After a period of working and raising children, graduate school called and Carole became a school media specialist (i.e. librarian). After 26 years at elementary, middle, high school and district office levels, Carole happily retired to a life of working for free. Stints at the Title Wave Bookstore, FOL Book Sorting Room, FOL Book Sales, Meals on Wheels, Portland Art Museum, Oregon History Center, etc., have been very rewarding. Carole is looking forward to serving on the FOL Board and deepening her involvement with and advocacy for the library. previous •back to board • next top
