Pageturners

Pageturners is a year-round program of adult book discussions at Multnomah County libraries. Sixteen branch libraries host at least one book group per month. The goals of this program include:

  • Establishing a series of visits to library book groups by a local author
  • Continuing to attract new audience members
  • Adding new titles available for book discussions
  • Maintaining a strong connection between the year-round book discussions and the library’s annual community-wide, “Everybody Reads”, book discussions.

The Friends of the Library granted funds to cover the books used by the participants of the Pageturner book discussions as well as the funding necessary to sponsor 10 appearances by a Portland author at book groups.
