Liaison Penny Hummel - Public Relations Manager Multnomah County LibraryPenny has been the Public Relations Manager at Multnomah County Library since 2001 and now serves as the Friends' primary contact at the library. Her career in library land actually began in 1993 when she became a member of the FOL board. She served as President of the Friends from 1995-1997 during the renovation of Central Library and the creation of the Friends' Library Store and was FOL's first representative on the Library Foundation board. Penny has also been involved in library advocacy work on a statewide and national level and has conducted trainings in library advocacy in Nebraska and South Dakota under the auspices of Libraries for the Future. She lives in Northeast Portland. top
