Welcome to the Friends of the
Multnomah County Library
As Friends of the Library we promote and support the library programs and staff through grants and advocacy. Annual book sales in Portland and Gresham, and the Friends’ Library Store provide us the opportunity to engage in activities, which make the library a stronger presence in our community. The Friends of the Multnomah County Library have been an active membership organization in the Portland area since 1972.

Multnomah County Friends of the Library receives honors
Our local Friends of the Library was awarded Design Honors by FOL-USA in three categories for their outstanding publications. The membership brochure, the Friends Store brochure and the newsletter, Footnotes, each won awards in their respective categories for Large Public Libraries.
