Attention book lovers! A treasure trove of gently-used books awaits you at Rose City Reads, now open in Northeast Portland! The Friends of the Library are delighted to have this permanent space with over 15,000 used books and media on the shelves, refreshed daily.

  • Explore new genres: Browse our vast selection of mysteries and thrillers, non-fiction, children's stories, art books and more.

  • Snag amazing deals: Enjoy affordable prices on high-quality books that have been carefully curated. You will find donated inventory similar to that of the former Spring & Fall Book Sales in addition to retired library materials previously sold at The Title Wave Bookstore.

  • Support a worthy cause: Every purchase fuels the Multnomah County Library's mission to empower the community through literacy.

  • Head to 221 NE 122nd Ave (next to the library operations center).

  • Browse the shelves from 11am to 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday.

  • Score amazing deals on Educator Discount Day (30% off all purchases for educators on the last Saturday of each month).

  • Consider volunteering: Help support Friends of the Library by volunteering with friendly staff.

  • Don’t forget to visit the Friends Library Store for stationery, gifts, jewelry and more! Located inside Central Library in downtown Portland.
